Hi Allan, I found a Milo F. Crocker, age 9, born=Calif., Residence Poyner, Blackhawk, IA. Source: IA State Census, 1895. Then I found a Frankie A. Crocker, age=4, born=Calif., Residence=Poyner, Blackhawk, IA. Source: IA State Census, 1895. I also found the 1900 MN Census that you found. However, I found the family was still living in Finlayson in 1905. Fredrie, head household, 50, b. NY, farmer; Amanda, b. MI, 43 yrs old; Milo, male, b. CA, 20; Hale, b. CA, 18 and Frankie, female, b. CA, 15. Source: MN Territorial & State Census 1905. A Hale Eugene Crocker was living in Rockford, Floyd Co., IA in 1917 and filled out his World War I Draft card there. He was born 16 April 1888, Lisson or Sisson, CA. He was a blacksmith, employed by John Saddler in Rockford. He was medium height & weight with grey eyes & brown hair. Although he was married w/ two children he didn't claim an exemption to WWI service. A Hale E. Crocker and family lived in Rockford, Floyd Co., IA in 1920. Hale, b. CA, 31 yrs old, wood cutter timber; Nellie M., wife, b. IA, 34; Darrell B., b. IA, 5; Arnold J., b. IA 3 5/12ths; and Eugene L., b. IA, 1 8/12ths. A Hale Eugene Crocker born 16 April 1888, CA died 16 June 1950 in Glenn. Source: CA Death Index 1940-1997. Seems like this family started in CA, moved to MN and IA and then went back to CA, however, the above is all the info I found. I don't know if this answers any of your questions or just poses more. Maybe another volunteer will comment or find more info. Successful Searching! Notify Administrator about this message?
