Seeking MERRY Descendants - Scotland to Oregon

I'm seeking any information on a James Robert Merry b. 1842, Lochlee Angus,Scotland. Parents were Thomas Merry and Agnes Inglis. He moved to USA around early 1880,s and may have applied for naturalisation in 1878. He lived in Wasco co. and dealt in hoses and cattle moving around to sell them. Did he marry, have any family and where/when did he die? Any information on him will be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance. Lesley
