Wow, Ms. Peck, you are really good at this! I am wondering if you could help me at all... My maternal grandfather was born in Oregon in 1936. His name is John Phillip Waymire. He died in Woodland, Yolo County, California in 1994. On his death certificate, it says his mother's maiden name is Lillian Exline (b. Ohio, 1909) and father's name is Louis Waymire (b. Oregon). I am stuck on finding anything further. I believe I have traced Lillian Exline from the 1910 Census in Jackson County, Ohio, to the 1920 Census at the Ohio State School for the blind, and finally to the 1930 Census in Multnomah County Farm as an "inmate". I am in the process of trying to get a hold of admission records for the Multnomah County Farm and/or pension and relief records for the same.

I have no idea how her and my great-grandfather would have met. Since my grandfather was born in 1936, I imagine sometime between 1930 and 1936 they met and/or married.

I am looking for any information on John Phillip Waymire, Louis (or Lewis) Waymire, or Lillian Exline Waymire and I am stuck in between a rock and hard place right now.

Thank you,
Shanna
