Hello, Oregon! I'm looking for my MacNEISH (NISH in the US) ancestors and relatives (aren't we all?!?) and would greatly appreciate any help locating them! Perhaps the following is a piece of your family's history puzzle? Looking forward to hearing from you!

Alexander NISH (MacNEISH clan, Scotland; b. 5 February 1847, Scotland; d. 21 May 1937, Oregon) married Sarah J. BUTLER of Iowa (b. 1849?; parents born in Ireland) in January of 1869 and had Margaret, Mary Elizabeth, plus more children. Alexander is listed as having died the last Civil War veteran of The Dalles, Oregon.
Mary Elizabeth NISH (MacNEISH; b.11/13/1879, Iowa; d. 9/10/1947, Los Angeles) married George William NEVILIER. George worked for Edison as a Special Telephone Inspector in Chicago ~ they had three children: Byron Francis, Francis LaVergne and Gordon.
Francis LaVergne NEVILIER married "Bill" WIRTH (my paternal grandparents) and had one child, Bryce Nevilier WIRTH (b.7/12/1932, Burbank, California; d. 8/19/1960, Ventura, CA).
