The Oregon Death Index says "Irma A. SPENCE" died 19 Dec 1950 in Marion county. The associated obituary in the Salem Capital Journal, 20 Dec 1950, page 23, column 8 says "Isma Aurora SPENCE". It is certainly the right person since her surviving mother is named Linnie SPENCE of Allock, Kentucky and her daughter is named Mrs. Dean HAYES of Salem. Isma had one son and six daughters.
Orpha Edna SPENCE married Dean Eldon HAYES in Turner, Marion county, Oregon on 26 July 1946. He died on 22 May 1971 in a nursing home in Corvallis, Benton county, Oregon. She died on 14 Oct 1993 in Marion county, Oregon. They are both buried in the Lone Oak cemetery in Stayton, Oregon.
His obituary is in the Salem Capital Journal, 24 May 1971, section 1, page 8, column 4. Hers is in the Salem Statesman Journal, 15 Oct 1993, page 3D, column 4. They had two sons and four daughters.
Joseph SPENCE was said to have survived his wife Isma in 1950, but I don't find him in the Oregon Death Index through 1998. I'm inclined to think he died outside Oregon.
