Hi Lucinda, I looked up Bryce Nevilier Wirth and he was married to Diane Daye Compton Wirth. She was b. 1931 and d. Feb. 4, 1983, Santa Barbara, CA. The person who posted her family tree listed two living Patten children. Diane also married Loree Harland Carl Schanck, Ventura, CA.

I'd try to find Diane's obituary in Santa Barbara. I'd post the request on the Santa Barbara, California Message Board and ask them how to find her obit. You can also look up Random Acts Genealogical Kindness, www.raogk.org and see if there is a volunteer who looks up obituaries.

After I receive the obit which generally list survivors, then I use www.whitepages.com, www.zabasearch.com or www.privateeye.com to find current contact info for survivors. Successful Searching!
