Lucinda, First, I won't patronyze you in your efforts to find family. You seem to have a good knowledge of your family tree since you have traced it to the mid-1800's in the Bavarian Forest. If at all possible, visit that area in Germany at some time in the future. I have found travel across Germany, as well as Europe very exciting, very historic and beautiful As to the dissertation you reference: I find the author as being Rudolph F. Prael, the title "Genealogy, migration, and activities of the Dornberg Family. 24 pages. This collection consists of a photcopied genealogy written by Prael. This volume tells the history of the Dornberg family of Blue Earh County, Minnesota. The genealogy begins with the emigration of the family patriarch from Germany to Minnesota in 1847, and continues until about 1941. http://mnpals.mnsu.edu/F/X4HECUTMNXBHS1XSK5T4SGJBL9X7A1TTKLCSN3QSA6MPUDSGNU-72398?func=find-b&REQUEST=PRAEL&find_code=WRD&ADJACENT=Y Good luck in your genealogy experience.
