Kent,
Wow, you have provided quite a bit of information on my family research. Thank you so very much for giving me all of this. Everything is starting to fall in to place.
I didn't realize you could pick up this much information in such a short span of time.
May I ask another question. Was there any indications in what you found of any Native American ancestry on either side of these familles (Smith/Capon)? The reason I ask is William Albert Smith Gurr (son of Weldon B. Smith and Winifred A. Capon Smith Gurr) had a son, William Ernest (Bill) Gurr, who always stated that his family was part of the Oglala Sioux tribe. Bill's features indicated a strong predominance of Native American blood, but no one has ever established this before. He was married to my sister and is now deceased, and her children are who I am doing my research for. I am trying to follow every scrap of information I have to build a family ancestry line for these children. Thank you again for providing me the information that you have.
