I am searcing for information on Eugene C. 'Gene' Darby. He was the only son of William Curtis Darby (b.1866 KS d. 1933 OK) and his wife Ella Jane Monroe (b.1872 AR d. 1901 OK). The children were:
(1) Letha May Darby - married, had 3 children, died in 1954 in KS.
(2) Ethel Ruby Darby - married three times, had two childen, died in 1936 in CA; was a vaudeville performer.
(3) Emma L. Darby, married L. Dickson; no children; she died in 1963 TX.
(4) Eugene C. 'Gene' Darby (b.after 6-9-1900 before 6-4-1901).
Gene was a vaudeville peroformer in the 1920s, 1930s. The last official record identified for him is the 1930 census in Los Angeles where he is living with his sister and her family. The 1930 census shows he is a theatrical performer. I know that he was married about 1921, had one daughter, Nickey, and that he was alive in 1933 when his father who lived in Oklahoma passed away.
I am endeavoring to identify when/where Gene died and where buried. His sister with whom he was living on the 1930 census died in 1936 in LA. He had cousins that lived in Oregon.
