I have used Family Search to provide the info that I gave you and what I could still provide. Sorry, but I found no records that go back into the early 1700's. However, it would appear that the families have been here for some time and who knows...William Wallace may be named after William Wallace of Braveheart fame.
I do find Wellman A living in Potter PA with his father Nathaniel and mother Elizabeth. Nathaniel was born in NY and Elizabeth in CT.
I also find a Samuel Steckel living in Bucks Co., PA with his father Samuel who was born in 1791 in PA. Age is a little off for the younger Samuel.
I would suggest that you do further research on Family Search if you need more information.
I also Googled the name of William Wallace Steckel and there is someone in Oregon requesting info on the family for the Oregon Trails celebration this year.
