Yo Gro
Thanks for the reply, although I don't think we come from Italy, but you never know. I refered to the Isle of Man and the town of Orrisdale. I've read that the Isle was under the rule of vikings for quite a while, so Scandivavian might be a possibility. In fact the IoM were under the rule of almost everyone.
Other little quirks about the Orris name.
Orris can be found in the dictionary. It can be found as orris root, or the root of the Iris. The orris root is used in bath products and perfumes. That's why I think Orris is a name used all over the world, because Iris' are found almost all over the world. In fact white Iris' are called Orris', they are also poisonous.
Again, thanks for the reply and keep in touch.
If you find any info, let me know.
Jody
