Craig,
What fun!I'm sure we do have a lot to talk about!
... even since my last posting I have found out a number of new things.Too many for one posting.
1)Have you access to a copy of the book Danish Lutheran Church in America?I mentioned it in my first posting.
It has quite a number of mentions of him from the Elkhorn schools times to Dannevirke and a bunch more. Each mention is quite brief, but they all describe interactions Kristian had, things he did for and with the
Danish-American Lutheran community.
2)The book "World of Song" from which I quoted that short biography of Kristian, also has the hymn "That Cause
..." in it (and maybe more songs Kristian wrote, bu no information past that.
3)You MUST go to the website http://www.cyberhymnal.ORG/http://www.cyberhymnal.ORG/
On that site you will find The English translation (of a few verses anyway) of the hymn (and you can PLAY THE
TUNE on your PC right from their site Inquire on "Titles" and go in on "T"
AND a little bio information and pictures of my grandfather JC Aaberg who translated it (I sent them a slightly
longer bio of him to the site for posting and they shortened it, as I expected they might want to to fit their
needs. Inquire on "NAME", select "A" Aaberg is the first name in the list.
AND a little bio information about Kristian that they posted and shortened from the one that I sent you in my
last posting.Inquire on name
AND TWO pictures of Kristian that I found and scanned in and sent to the site One from 1893 when Kristianwas ordained at 38 years of age after attending seminary at West Denmark Wisconsin, one from Tyler MN
when he was in his 60's.
MUCH more to come ...
