My Otero family traces back to Vega Baja to Ruperto or Rufino Otero, who then moved to Jayuya around 1850 and had Jose Dolores Otero y Martinez. Jose married Joaquina Figueroa y Rivera of Morovis, who was the dau. of Felipe Figueroa and Cordelia Rivera, also both of Morovis. One of their sons, Hipolito Otero y Figueroa, is my ancestor.
