This may be your Cordelia: According to Ruth Ott Wallis, _Descendants of Jacob Ott of South Carolina and Louisiana_, Cordelia Ott was born on 30 June 1852 in Washington Parish, Louisiana, daughter of Joel Ott (1792-1879) and Ascenith Wallace (1810-?). She married Buck Mizell and they moved to the Texas Panhandle; Mrs Wallis had no information on their descendants. Cordelia died in 1910.

It's possible that Mrs Wallis confused Cordelia's husband with one of her sons-in-law. Does any of the above fit with what you know of the family?
