In the 1850 Census there is a John Ott living with his father Isaac Ott in Vermillion Co. Indiana. I've been trying to trace Isaac and his family as well and I think these two men are the same father and sons listed as living in separate households in the 1840 census next to the Dougherty and Keziah families in Clay Co. I know that between 1840 & 1850 James Keziah had died leaving a widowed Matilda Dougherty Keziah but beyond that I don't know what could have happened to the large Ott clan.
