No genealogy is ever finished as a family always keeps on growing and ‘dividing and multiplying’; but, in addition to that, there are always a multitude of unanswered question from the past. Some of the ones that still haunt me are: 1. What ever became of [Michael] WEBER, the older [?] brother of our Elizabeth Weber OTT? He is not --- to our knowledge --- in the US Census for Allegheny Co., PA. for any of the years that he might reasonable be there. Nor can we locate her sisters: Catherine ‘Kate’ who married John GERING and Ann who married Joseph McKELVEY? 2. In the old family burial sites in St. Mary’s Cemetery on Sharpshill Road in Sharpsburg, PA. are the following unidentified OTTs buried there: in grave #4, Francis Ott (no stone) who died September 6, 1896. In grave #5, Philomena Ott (no stone) who died December 26, 1885. The above are all in Lot A-33. 3. We cannot locate the burial sites of the four children of Peter and Marguerita OTT who died as children: Peter 1855-1856; Peter Alphonse 1857-1857; Peter 1858 - [bet. 1861-1868]; and Barbaara Philomena ‘Amanda’ 1862-1870. 4. Did any of Peter OTT or Marguerita BECK OTT’s siblings or cousins come to America with them or in later years? It would seem reasonable that they did. There are many OTTs and BECKs in the Pittsburgh area from 1850 on, but we cannot connect any of them with Peter or Marguerita as yet.
