Thanks for the Ott info- Boy- what confusion-
I can tell you that my Otts migrated with the Sistrunk family which also came from Switzerland and married into the Fenn family too. They came from Lancaster,Pennsylvania and settled in Orangeburg together with the Otts. Many of this family are buried at Limestone, Methodist Church Cemetery in Orangeburg. The Sistrunks married into the same families that the Otts did and may have had some family connection in Switzerland?? Henry Sistrunk who married Mary Magdalene? had children who married into the Moorer family also of Orangeburg and John Moorer married to Annie Stromand daughter of Jacob Stromand and Anna Margaret Schaumloffel of Orangeburg. Melchoir Ott married to Ann Barbara Stromand who is most probably of the same family. The Moorers were evidently Swiss too. Some of these families converged in Tuskegee, Alabama and in Montgomery Co. Gabriel Fenn's family was in Clarke Co. Ga. and from there to Smith Co. Miss. and finally Lawrence Co. Miss.
