For many years prior to the death of my grandmother I heard about her Aunt Carrie Ott. Carolina Ott was born about 1846 in Rutherford or Polk County, North Carolina to Joab Cloud and his wife, Lucy Dorinda "Lucinda" Jefferson Cloud. Before the 1850 Census, Joab Cloud moved his family to Forsyth County, Georgia and then from there to northwest Arkansas, where he was located first in Madison County, then by 1870 in Washington County. My great grandmother Nancy Jane Cloud was born in Georgia in 1854 and died in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma. I have a tiny photo showing Nancy Jane Cloud Lessley and her sister Carrie Ott during the later years of their lives. I have been unable to find this Carolina or Carrie Ott in any census except when she was still residing in the home of her father, Joab Cloud. If anyone from the Arkansas Ott family know of a Carrie Ott born about 1846/1847 in North Carolina I would love to hear from you. John V. Reeb, San Francisco, CA
