Hallo Leo,

just read your info and would like to add some small verification or rather correct an error. you state that the family comes from kaden or so in Prussia around 1730s and than add, that kaden lies close to Karlsruhe. For further quests: At this time Kaden can not have been Prussian, Prussia at this time was a rather small country a few hundred miles north of Kaden. So either there is another Kaden in prussia you have to look after or the Prussia-Info is wrong. I rather guess the latter, because seemingly the bigger part of the Otts come from Baden-Wuertemberg or Alsace-Lothringa. My - totaly unconfirmed and unscientific - family tales report, that the Otts are descendants of Vikings coming up the river Rhine and/or Danube, because there is a nordic or Viking name ODD. But this can of course be rubbish.
