I suspect that your Phillip Ott was a descendant of Frank Ott Sr. and Jr. who were in New Albany in the 1850's. During my early research on the Ott family I had information that led me to believe that Frank Sr. was my gggfather. I eventually learned that this was not correct, but I retained some information.
