Oh dear, we still haven't nailed this Swedish business. Ok, take a look at my webpage on the subject:

(the web site is a bit old and needs updating).
So once again. The village of Ousby is named after Ulfr - a Viking who took over the place sometime between say 750 and 950. Ulfr was presumably a common Scandinavian name, and so it's not surprising that there was another Ulfr (ok I admit it's possible it could be the same Ulfr) who has a place in Sweden named after him. There are lots of places that have the same name, but have no connection. We have 5 Newtowns in Hampshire alone!
