I have no connection with the Overly family, but have found the following.
An obituary of Didymus Overly,
Fort Wayne Sentinel July 2, 1895
“Didymus Overly, a well known plasterer, who resides at No. 13 Custar avenue with his wife and four children, was struck and killed on the Nickel Plate track by train No. 4 shortly after 2 o’clock this afternoon…..The deceased was a well-respected, hard-working man, aged about forty-five. Besides his wife, he leaves four children—John, Frank, Clara, and Eddie, the youngest. “
From census and marriage records, he is probably the son of Thomas and Emiline Overly of OH, who lived in 1860 in Pleasant twp, Allen Co, IN. Records indicate Didymus (many spellings of that name)married Sarah J. "Jennie" Smith abt. May 8, 1875 in Allen Co, IN, they moved to Adams Co, IN before the 1880 census.
