He married Mary C. DUKEHART who was born 5 Jan 1849 in Maryland, USA. She died in Adams County, PA, USA > 1880.
John and Mary had the following children, all born in PA:
Robert 1872, John 1874, James 1876 and Joseph 1879.
The family was Catholic.
