Alfred P. Starr b. Sept 4,1820 d. May 17, 1912 married Sept 15, 1850 at Conewago Chapel, Edge Grove, Adams Co. PA to Matilda McSherry b. Nov 3,1819 died Feb 10, 1892.
She is the daughter of Andrew McSherry and Mae Norbeck probably the daughter of John.
Andrew Mc Sherry b. abt 1787 is the son of John McSherry and Margaret. She b. abt 1760 died 26 July 1849.
John McSherry is the son of Patrick McSherry and Catherine
Alfred and Matilda had William Francis Starr b. Aug 26, 1857 died Feb 20, 1928 who married Anna L Steffy b Sept 9,1854 died Nov 1, 1928. They are buried in the Littles- town Catholic cemetery.
Anna's parents are Martin Steffy who married Mary Staub 15 Apr 1841 in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Hanover, MD. They were both from Littlestown, Adams Co. when they married. Martin was born in MD probably to John Steffy of Carroll Co. MD.
Mary Staub in some records is mary Stanle this is not correct. If you write out staub in longhand you can see where its possible to read it incorrectly. mary Staub's fater is Isaac Staub and her mother is Jane Ann____.
Isaac's father is John Staup (Staub,Staab) and his mother is Margaretr Homan (some have Heeman).
William Starr had tthe following children:

Bernard b. 5 Feb 1892
Clara M b. 15 Sept 1984
Edward Allen b. 26 May 1897
Francis Alfred b. 15 July 1881
Helen catherine b. 22 Dec 1889
Joseph W. born 10 July 1887
Mary Matilda b 1883 she married Charles W. Stock 12 Apr 1910 at St. Aloysius church in Littlestown.
