I am researching Joseph and Lillian ALtamos family of Tarentum. Joseph Altamos was b. July 15 1857 in France.
He worked is his way on a boat, and at the age of 13, came to America. On June 30 1888 in Hawthorn, Clarion County PA
Joseph Altamos married Lillian Ada Anthony, a daughter of Jacob and Margaret Anthony of Oakridge, Armstrong County,PA. By the 1900 census, they were living in Tarentum, Allegheny County, PA. Joseph Altamos died there June 13 1928 and buried in Prospect Cemetery, Tarentum.

1920 census, Brackenridge, Allegheny County, PA:
Joe Altmas 63, David 22, George 24, Jacob 8.
I am looking to ascertain the death of the mother, Lillian
Altamos. Family members said she died during childbirth and the baby died too. Their last know child was Jacob Altamos who was born Jan 29 1911 - so she must have died
after that. I checked with Prospect Cemetery and she not buried with the husband Joseph Altamos. She was called variously: Lillian, Lillie, Lily, Ada.
Their children are:
Lula May Altamos (1889-1939) married Charles Carbaugh.
Joseph Manuel Altamos (1891-1975) never married.
Sarah Grace Altamos (1895-
George Frank Altamos (1896-1920) never married.
David Clinton Altamos (1899-1945) married Virginia
Beaulah Bertha Altamos (1902-1953) marr.Merle Anthony
Lillian Altamos (1905-1976) marr. Harry Kalmeyer
Charles Altamos (1907-1981)
Jacob Harrison Altamos (1911-2001) m. Kath Karolkowski
