If you haven't already I suggest trying to get their death certificates from the PA Div. of Vital Records. The certificates should indicate where and when they were born and who their parents were. It will take at least 5 weeks to get them and cost $9 each. However, since you didn't mention when James died I assume you don't know. That creates a problem. For that you would have to pay $34 for a expanded ten year search and hope they find it.

Another approach to take would be to get their obituaries. Probably the best place to obtain them would be through the Western Pennsylvania Genealogical Society: http://www.wpgs.org/. Obits would also give you info on the siblings which would make it easier to find them in the earlier census records.

Yet another approach would be to contact the cemetery where they are buried. If nothing else you might be able to find their exact dates of death or burial which will make it easier to find the obits and get the death certificates. It could also give you clues on other family members if they were buried in the same plot.
