Robert:
William Barnett was in Armstrong Co in 1816 to marry Jane Murray; the family stayed near Milton in Armstrong Co until about 1823 when thay migrated to VA. William was born about 1789 in Northumberland Co. His mother died shortly after his birth and he was raised by Richard Potts of Potts Grove. I know none of the details of William's parents or siblings, if any. william was known to be a staunch presbyterian until his death in OH in 1853.

I have just begun research on the Barnetts in Armstrong Co in this time frame and your post above appeared to have some overlap. Lewis and Margaret could have been cousins; probably too big a gap for siblings.

Does this ring any bells.
