Initial research regarding your Mary Hannahan(SP) confirms Mary HIGGINS b. Dec 1859 in PA. This same record allowed discovery which confirms her marriage to Alfred HIGGINS b. April 1861 in England.
Records found indicate that Mary may have been previously married as you suggested. The oldest child listed is Thomas G HIGGINS b. May 1884. Could this be the Thomas Glennon you mentioned? Not unusual for children to be listed with their stepfather's surname.
This record also confirms that Alfred and Mary have been married 11 years allowing a marriage date of 1889. Thomas G would have been 5 y/o at that time.
According to this Westmoreland County/Hempfield Twp 1900 record, Alfred was born in England and Mary was born in PA, as were all of the children. Record also states that Mary had 8 children and 5 are living. This number includes Thomas G which allows for the probability that Mary was married before.
Children listed are: Thomas G (16) b. May 1884, Rebecca (9) b. Feb 1891, Alfred (7) b. Dec 1893, Nellie (3) b. Jan 1897 and Lulu(?) (1) b. May 1899.
All of the children are listed with the surname HIGGINS. The other name and date you provided appears to reference Mary's 3rd child Alfred (JR) b. 1893.
In this record, Alfred (SR) states that he immigrated from England to the US in 1884.
