Looking for any information about the Maternick's in Armstrong County.....specifically Ford City...Kitanny areas. Jacob Maternick (Listed in the 1910 Census as "Matanic") immigrated to the US from what was then the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Galicia Region, in 1898. He married Katie (Katherine) Voytovich (Waytovicz ??) in 1903 timeframe They had three children....Max, Helen, Chester Franklin (My grandfather) and John. I believe Max was a half brother as he was 16 in 1910 (according to the 1910 Census). Max immigrated in 1900 when he was 6 years old. Not sure who he come over with. Any help would be appreciated. Jacob died in Armstrong County in Jun 1918. Katie went with life...hanging around with numerous men....till her death approx 1944. I heard she was a rather wild and strong-willed woman.
