HI all- I am trying to help my wife solve the mystery of her mother, Shirley Orend Costello.
She passed away in 1985 when my wife was only 14 and she never really got to know her...
We have very sketchy information about Shirleys high school years. We know her ex boyfriend Barry Smalstig and best friend Patsy Stone, a few other names but none have been much help.
She attended Robert Morris College from 1961-1962(?) and moved to Chicago around 1962-63.
Something happened to Shirley between 1962-1964 that caused her to become an alcoholic, which eventually killed her at the early age of 44.
We dont know what happened but if anybody could help, just knowing the reasons would take an incredible burden off my wifes shoulders!
