King, Skyley/Shyley families from Beaver Falls

I'm looking for parents of John King (aka "Jack King") who married Mercedes Cora Turner on June 20, 1927 in Amarillo, Potter County, Texas. Mercedes was John's second wife. He had children by his first wife, although I have no names and little information about them.

John King was born June 21, 1892 near Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. He said he was in the US Navy and sailed in Teddy Roosevelt's Great White Fleet. After his father died, he supported his mother and sister.

By 1926, John King was living in Denver, Colorado and working as a carpenter. In 1927, Mercedes Turner and John eloped to Texas. He spent the rest of his life as a builder in various areas of Texas.

One of his children from his previous marriage was said to have died on the Bataan Death March during WWII.

In his daughter's baby book, his father's name is listed as "James Skyley" (or "Shyley"). Mercedes stated that his parents were French and Irish.
