Not enough info provided to make that determination. Did find an 1850 census East Deer Twp Allegheny PA that shows:

Alexander Adams, 36, salt manufacturer.
Elizabeth, wife, 35
Ch: John age 9; Samuel age 6; Mary E age 5; Alexander 3; and also in household are 26yr old Samuel Bolinger and 16 yr old Nancy Bolinger.
The mentioned Sam'l Bolinger worked in a coal mine.
So, if you happen to know Alexander's wifes name or names of his children (which you didn't mention) then this will determine if he's the same Alexander.
The 1880 census lists 66yr old ALexander born PA and his parents born Ireland. And at that time they were in Moon Twp.
