As I look at the 1880 census I see that Adam was born PA and that his father was born Baden (Germany) and his mother was born PA. Since he was a Railroad Engineer I am betting you can find out more through Railroad records than anywhere else. The death cert. info was provided from someone in an emotional state. That info is only about 50% reliable. Railroad info would have been provided by Adam himself and thus accurate information. As far as databases..my all-time favorites are: Familysearchlabs.org then click record search HeritageQuest online...which is available at MANY libraries for free. All you need is a library card and you can access from home any ole time. Notify Administrator about this message?
