Thank you for your response to my query. I had found the 1880 Census record for Alloway Leonard and assumed he was the father of the Philip Leonard that I am researching. I was hoping that someone had some information to verify my assumption. If I can find out Philip's date and place of death, I can order his death certificate, which should have the name of his father and the maiden name of his mother. Regarding Philip's wife, Annie: I got her first name and month/year of birth from the 1900 Census. However, I do not know her maiden name. I have received the death certificate for Mary, my husband's grandmother and the daughter of Philip and Annie. It verified that Philip was her father. Unfortunately, it did not have her mother's name. My next step will probably be to obtain the death certificate for the daughter Minnie, who married Foster Boore. I know she died in September 1968, but I do not know the day of the month or the place where she died (I assume it was in Bedford County.) Thanks again, Sharon Notify Administrator about this message?
