Thora and Blaine Barefoot, late 19th and early 20th century

Due to a computer malfunction, I lost the email information for a woman with whom I share a common great uncle, namely Blaine Barefoot, a fascinating local figure and descendent of important historical persons. I recall she was a Florida resident but not the name. Through her, I was able to determine the maiden name of Blaine's sister-in-law, the colorful and delightful Thora Barefoot, whom I rememember well as a boy and who helped me with a history project. I was interested originally in finding her maiden name so I could track down her father, a surgeon with the Union Army during the Civil War. I believe it was Brooks or Brooking, but I'm not sure. If ANYONE has knowlege of this information or simply wants to share anecdotes about Blaine, Cora (his third wife and my blood relative)or Thora, please reply. Thank you, Eric Olsen - a former Windber resident and Bedford County camper and historical buff.
