From the Bedford Co. Historical Society you can get a copy of "A Tory Conspiracy: The Role of the Cessna Family.: I don't think there is a charge. http://genforum.genealogy.com/cessna/messages/343.html I contacted the Bedford County Historical Society, I talked with the assistant director of the Historical Society. She stated this document exists. She did not have it readily available, nor did she remember the authors name off the top of her head. The director has the only copy in his possession, and it is under review by him at this time. She additionally explained that at this time she did not think it was a document that could be reproduced and distributed by them as they needed to verify copyright status and if permission to distribute by the historical society has been granted. So how did you get a copy? Are you the author? Sincerely, Diana Cessna Sutor ###################### http://genforum.genealogy.com/cessna/messages/344.html Re: Write-up available on Cessna family as Tories in Revolutionary War Posted by: Thurman Sisney lee@tktandassociates.com I did write it, and would be happy to send you a copy if you give me your e-mail address. Included in it is a deposition naming Joseph Cessna as part of a conspiracy involving the Britis and the Indians. The article deals with other invovement by other Cessna brothers. You'll find it interesting. PS: I have gotten the impression that most self-proclaimed Cessna researchers are more interested in protecting family myth than in facts and theories supported by fact. For example, I don't see how one can try to connect the Cessna name to some Castle in Europe when connection/ history can't even be established by verfiable information in America. I know how hard people can cling to family legends, family myths and I know it's easier not to think, just to accept what is handed down. Seems st me, the first assumptions to check should be the validity of the family myths and inaccuricies and misrepresentations in the book the House of Cessna. Everything emanates from that point. It's either true or not. Notify Administrator about this message?
