Hello- From my grandmother's family history, I have a record that reads:: "Husband: John Hosler born 10-3-1836 in Berks Co., PA; married 6-15-1862 at the home of parents (Peter Hosler & Mary Litch) by Squire Hill- witnesses: Samuel & Sara Hosler; died 9-6-1908 at 356 Swan St., Huntington, Ind.; buried Luthern Cemetary (Old Ft. Wayne Rd.-Huntington Co.) Wife: Mary Ann Harter born 8-9-1838 in Stark Co., Ohio (Canton) died 9-8-1919 at home of daughter, Janetti Hosler Anson in Union Twp., buried Luthern Cemetary Children: Aaron Emitt Hosler born 1-11-1863(married Ida Rogers) died 1-25-1925, Ida Ellen Hosler born 11-23-1864 (died as infant), Janetti Catherine Hosler born 2-26-1867 (married Tully Anson)died 10-25-1945, William Franklin Hosler born 5-21-1868(married Ada Beeching) died 11-7-1939, Chas. Edward Hosler (died as infant), James Martin Hosler born 5-16-1872 (married Daisy Tillman), Emry Hosler born 8-31-1876 (married Edith Woods) died 1-30-1947, Emarilla Hosler born 8-31-1876 (married Chas. Hoover). Also noted on this history is that John Hosler was the 2nd son of Peter; he lost one brother in the Civil War; his Grandfather was in the War of 1812; His great-grandfather, along with 4 brothers was in the Revolutionary War. The Hosler settlement is located about 15 miles west of Valley Forge in Berks Co. Pa." I am apparently descended through Emarilla Hosler and Chas. Hoover. Emarilla was my grandmother's mother. What I would like to find out are the names of Peter's parents, grandparents, etc., and just when the family arrived in Berk's Co. Can anyone help me with this? Thank you, Chelle Notify Administrator about this message?
