His grand daughter, Maria Sophia Exline, daughter of Adam Exline, was born in Heildelberg Township, Berks County, PA, on February 25, 1756.
In 1763, this family appears in Chester County, PA.
It is noted that Adam Exline married Mary Ann Prior in "1761".
If he did not marry Mary Ann Prior until 1761, who gave birth to Maria Sophia Exline?
Digging deeper we have learned that "Mary Ann" was actually Mrs. Mary Ann Mertz, widow of Johannes Mertz.
They had a daughter Christina Mertz, born in about 1750.
(She is listed as Adam Exline's "step daughter".)
Where did Adam Exline marry Mrs. Mary Ann Mertz?
