Looking for information on the William Robison (name also seen as Robinson) who was born in Ireland around 1700 and first purchased land in Caernervon Twp., Berks Co., Pennsylvania in 1738. He died around 1768 and in his will provided for his wife Margaret and left to his son John the "plantation whereon I now dwell" and to his daughter Ruth Ross 45 acres of land adjacent to Jacob Morgan (founder of Morgantown) and 5 pounds. The executors of the will were Daniel McPherson of Lancaster County, and George Erwin (Irwin) of Chester Co. Witnesses were William, John and Mary McPherson, all Quakers. William and his wife Margaret were buried at Forks of the Brandywine Seceder Cemetery, as were a number of Irwin, so I suspect there is a connection there; perhaps Margaret was an Irwin? She died in April 1794 at age 92 and was buried in Seceder Cemetery.
