My ggf was ALLEN J. REED, b.Unk d. 1937 in ALTOONA, BLAIR CNTY, PA. Married ANN ELIZABETH WEAVER about 1881 in Altoona and had 1 child, BERTHA MAY REED [my gmother]
b. 25 Feb 1883, d. 5 April 1974. Ann divorced Allen and moved to NYC, NY with Bertha. She
married a JOHN C. TABBS there. Ann died 1901, Bertha returned to live with Allen in Altoona. Allen was married a 2d time to unknown spouse, had a son, JAMES REED. 2d Spouse died. Allen married a 3rd time to an old friend named Marjorie. Bertha May Reed married WALTER GARDNER WISSINGER b. 1 Aug 1878, d. 20 Feb 1954, in Altoona on 19 Oct 1901. Had 15 Children: Ralph, Raymond, Walter [my Father], Clarence, Thelma, Erla, Marion, Audrey, Herbert, Robert, Helen, Marilyn, Marlyn, Donn, and Shirley. Nothing is known of ALLEN J.REED prior to his marriage to ANN WEAVER. I am interested in any info on my namesake ALLEN or his 1st wife ANN ELIZABETH WEAVER.
