Bob, You are going to have to do this probably with land records. there is a William Kitchen, witness to a will in 1719 in Prince George County MD. In Trenton (lawrence) a Richard Furman mentions his daughter Elizabeth the wife of William Kitchen in the early 1700's. Richard furman was originall from Long Island to NJ. And an early Cotten marriage to a William Kitchen in Loudon County VA. It is begining to look like Kitchen is a fairly commom name.
