James Melley drowning, 1914

I have a death certificate and need help locating the area of the drowning. It says"drowned while swimming in Hanto...dam. It is hard to read and maybe the Hanto..is misread. Does this sound familiar to anyone? The coroner was in Mauch Chunk, the undertaker from Lansford and the burial is St. Jos. Cem, S. Hill, PA. He was 28 yrs. old, from Donegal (Ranny), married Hannah McShane in Ireland and was working in a coalmine to earn money to send for her. The informant on the death certificate was Miss Kate Melley of Coaldale, PA.
I had also hear he drowned trying to save a swimmer in distress and that it may have been in a flooded mine quarry. Too many stories so am trying to sort it out by finding the dam. Many thanks. Judy Stephens
