My gr,gr,gr grandfather, John O'Donnell, was born in the Rosses, Donegal Ireland around 1810. He married Nancy Sweeny and together they had 3 children, Winefred, John and Bridget. They all left Ireland around 1850 and settled in Brooklyn, NY, Red Hook section. After the Civil War, John went to Summit Hill to work in the mines (the family stayed in Brooklyn and did not accompany him to Pa). He died at Summit Hill, Jan.11th 1874. According to the family Bible, he was a doctor and Roman Catholic. Please contact me with any information. Thank you.
