Wallaesa family

I'm looking for general information about the WALLAESA family in Weatherly, who have been there since at least the mid-1800s. While I do have some specific names and dates, I'm more interested in information about the family as a whole, like:
* how long they've been in Weatherly
* what nationality they were
* whether the spelling of the name has changed (it's pronounced "Wall-a-sea" nowadays, which suggests that it might have had an alternate spelling),
* whether the family was significant in the area in any way (the lack of information in my search so far suggests that they weren't)

Any pieces to the puzzle would be appreciated!
