Shannon, there is one other small similarity in our Connor families in Mauch Chunk. We also had a Mary Ann - 10 years old in the 1850 census.
The 1850 census for our family shows John 25, Bridget 54, Mary Ann 10 and Michael (my g-grandfather) 9. All were born in Ireland.

Bridget would have been about the same age as your Matthew. Do you have the name of the ship your Connors came on? Perhaps ISGI would have the complete list of names.
