Have you looked at the National Archives ships on line to see if your Connor family is listed in the on line files? I came across this information by accident, didn't know anything about when the Connors/O'Connors came over and got lucky. http://www.archives.gov/northeast/nyc/finding-aids/passenger-lists.html If you are interested in seeing the "Fanny" manifest, you can input the name of the ship and the date (6/18/1847) and it will come up!
