Are there any Col John Holt family decendents in Centre Co. Pa? I'm a decendent from his g-great-granddaughter Frances W. Holt whom married Jacob Gates in Unionville Pa, 24 Dec. 1891. Jacob and Frances moved to Fayette Co. Pa. He was a mine foreman. They later moved to Jackson Co. Ohio. He had a farm there and also opened a deep mine on the property. Hobart Jacob Gates (son) was born in Victor Pa. They also had Alvin, Chester, Jay Dee, Charles, Frances, Marcelene and Barbara.
