Thank you for the reply to my request on gatekeeper info.
John R. Irwin was listed in the 1860 census with an occupation as gatekeeper. I didn't if there was a toll road in that area at that time. Iam sure there must have been railroads. Iwill have to investigate some more. He lived in Burnside.Thanks again.
