I checked to see if I could find John Gardner, in the will of a parent, but no luck.....Ilooked in the 1765 Chester Archives for potential parents for John, and found 2 maybes;
Francis Gardener of Eastnantmeal, and inmate (married man who lives in the twp but owns no land)
Samuel Gardner Uwchlan twp
James Gardner....Charlestown, but he is unmarried
As you probably know, marriages weren't recorded at the county level when John was married, so your only hope will be to find him in a church record.
