Hi,
Just browsing the posts and came upon your photo...What a great one.
There were quite a few Kelly's living in West Chester, PA in the 1880 census.
The photographer was...Thomas W. Taylor at 10 West Gay St., West Chester, PA.
He did many photographs from 1864-?, he died in 1904
This gentleman look very prominent. In the 1880 census there is a John Kelly- age 25, from Ireland, he was a railroad engineer. He was married to Kate, age 24, her maiden name is Jones, because her sister- Mary Jones, age 22, is also living with the couple. So, the railroad would indeed be why some family members relocated to West Chester.....JUST A GUESS

Good Hunting,
Connie
